The name “Sant 2 Chirra Modern Special Khukuri Angkhola” in itself has a history. This khukuri is one of our best designed khukuri in workshop house. Chirra means faced i.e. 2 face/fuller type khukuri. Usually there used be typical 2 chirra khukuri  but now we have made it somewhat special 2 chirra khukuri to meet the quality and possessiveness of 3 faced khukuri. This khukuri is known for it’s bold beauty and aggressive cutting character to meet the demand of chopper as well as hunter to hunt it’s prey. This khukuri comes into first place when ranked in-terms of high shock absorber. The faced part in the surface of blade body of khukuri helps to absorb the shock rather than transferring into hand through handle. This khukuri has been issued from late 1970s to till this date because of it’s fine polished blade type and buffalo horned handle. The shape of this khukuri is inspired from ancient khukuri called Buduna khukuri i.e. small at neck part and buldged & curved at head and body part. Previously this khukuri was sharpened by traditional method but now we use modern or oil dipped (after heating) method to sharpen it’s blade. Just keep in mind that half tang handle khukuri is also stronger and believe me that we make it strong more than similar other makers. Blades

The khukuri has 13.5 inch long blade excluding handle and 11.5mm blade thickness at bottom and 3mm thickness at tip- a very good range. The blade’s shape is truly inspired from the shape of typical khukuri “normal” and western style “Buduna” curved due to it’s swiftness, beautifulness, and ruggedness. The blade is more curved and normal bulged head type than typical other types khukuri with only a more curve turn in middle part of blade area. While going towards handle from the tip of blade, the invader blade goes thicker upto middle section and then goes narrower with partition of blade from handle to get rid of any slippery liquid that comes flowing from the blade area. Those types of characteristics/features of Khukuri provides a best balance at the front phase side to be effective. The stabbing, chopping, fighting and hacking gets easy because the khukuri is fuller type which prevents shock in the hand, fish head and middle weight. The blade gets protection from rusts that makes easy maintenance and makes a beautiful looks by it’s premium finished polish. Overall, 2 chirra khukuri has the best in design and handy with beautiful looks.

Handle

The Paanwal Khukuri with Buffalo-Horn handle of 5.5 inch, brass ring in the middle, carved ring in both ends provides better grip more than the other handle and gives more confidence to hand while chopping/cutting or hitting. The divider that has yellow finish between blade and handle is made up of brass and a rat tail behind the handle.

Sheath

In order to have ease in carrying from the waist, a belt loop is provided with a Black leather sheath. The Sheath is also carved with excellent artwork. Along with belt loop one can also tie around thigh area because of the presence of lanyard loop tip to prevent wobbling in fast body motions. Because of the nature of khukuri and it’s sheath the khukuri sheaths holds tight and there would be no chance of khukuri coming out of sheath or have an accidents while carrying around. However, one should be careful while grabbing khukuri out of sheath.
