Delivery & Lead-Time frame
Our production and shipment entirely depends on the type and availability (in stock) of the product that is ordered. We assure that we will take as less time as possible unless our regular production is badly disrupted. Products that are in stocks are shipped immediately within 2-3-5 days after generating sales invoice. However, our most of the products are fast moving and we manufacture it when only ordered unless it’s our top selling as well as fast moving items. We also entertain “Deadline” if there is any at no extra charge. Our normal time frame is given below. Our goods/order forwarding partner is Elite Express Pvt. Ltd. in Nepal and shippers use DHL, TNT, Sky Net and EMS Nepal (USPS).
Order processing (handing/making) + forwarding = 12-15-20 days
Legal procedures (formalities + documentations) = 3-5 day
Shipping (source to destination) = 5-7-10 days

Our shipping agent as well as one of our partner DHL has made some mandatory regulatory policies regarding the shipment of goods i.e. knives other than kukri or kukri shaped (re-curve) like straight knives, bowie, machete, double edged blades, needs to be ship through the “Cargo+Courier” mode along with various items mixed together. Therefore, the delivery is expected to be a little longer than the time frame that is expected than normal/regular shipping. With an advance apology from our side, we announce that this shipping method takes anytime from 5-8-12 days from the shipped date depending on the country. We are working very closely with the shipper to sort it out but this may take some time. On the other hand, any knives in kukri format are no issue and shipped as normal (5-7 days or less).
Shipping Note exercised for exporting/shipping:
We declare all kukri/s as “Nepal’s Souvenirs” or “Handcrafted goods made by adopting Traditional approach from Nepal” under internationally recognized GSP code provided to Authentic Khukuri Nepal by the Nepalese Government. We also make all the required documentations and favorable billings so that clearance and collection can be swiftly done at the customer’s end. However, if the customer’s country import law requires permit and others after reaching to customer’s country (as every country has it’s own laws and we need to get abide by it) then our shipper in the destination country will notify the buyer/you to fulfill the legal steps needed to clear the order from the customs. After releasing by the customer itself, it will be delivered at the home/office location of the buyer (the final destination) by the shipper.
Please get notify that if a customs official confiscates the order for any other reason then AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will not be held responsible and thus a refund will not be executed in this case.
Refund policy
AUTHENTIC KHUKURI stands firm in delivering quality kukri and our blacksmiths and staff work round the clock tirelessly to meet customers’ demands and to satisfy customers’ needs. All our products are carefully checked, tested time and again before forwarding to the shipper. We are also proud to say that we have more than 75% returning customers who always want to buy more from us. This is the true fact itself which discloses the quality as well as customer service we offer. However, certain circumstances/situations may come where our company has to implement a refund policy. Here are a few of such policies:
In case a product other than actually ordered/sold has been sent by mistake
When payment for the same order is accidentally received/deposited twice (Duplicate Order). However, AUTHENTIC KHUKURI does not entertain refunding thus we will try to negotiate with the customer to clear the matter
If AUTHENTIC KHUKURI completely fails to deliver the product or delays well beyond the given delivery time frame
Significant flaw in quality as per AUTHENTIC KHUKURI Warranty
Insurance policy
All our products are insured and the buyer is eligible for full compensation under the following conditions:
If by any chance we completely fail to deliver a product within an estimated given period of delivery time slot. If an order is mistakenly sent to the wrong address than the destination provided by the buyer. In case of theft, robbery, accident or loss of item before reaching to the buyer. For any type of shipping errors/issues/negligence from the shipper’s end (here we will work out with the shipper and claim for compensation on customer’s behalf). However in cases like minor damage in the product or damage to the product done by buyer’s negligence then, we will not be held responsible. Such act doesn’t entertain insurance policy.
Replacement / Return policy
Since all our blades are entirely handmade by humans, there might be small/minor chances of having errors or quality issues after all. AUTHENTIC KHUKURI personal will work tickling the clock for best possible quality. However, in very rare cases, few knives may skip the quality control procedures. In such situation we allow a customer to claim for a complete new one (replacement) or ask for Refund under the following conditions:
as per the Warranty policy
If in case khukuri is completely damaged
If khukuri got severe injury (unusable)
if the edge of the khukuri got broken harshly on arrival or got intensely fractured when used
Customer must ship back the khukuri to AUTHENTIC KHUKURI at his/her own cost
AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will inspect the damage/s closely with detail scanning and make replacement at its own cost (including shipping) if only required
If AUTHENTIC KHUKURI decides to make a replacement of the damaged kukri (blade) then the shipping/delivery cost from origin (factory-authentic khukuri) to destination has to be beared by the customer him/herself
Refunding is a lengthy administrative process at AUTHENTIC KHUKURI which takes about 3-5 days since we deeply investigate the cause for refund process. On approval of refund, AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will refund the whole amount.

Offline Payment Options
1. Bank Wire (+ USD 60 and Bank Fee At Buyer’s End)
AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will provide the banking details for remittance to the customer when finalizing the order. Please be aware that AUTHENTIC KHUKURI’s bank does not charge anything for receiving the fund on behalf of AUTHENTIC KHUKURI.
2. Western Union (+ 3% on Total Cost)
Please pre inform AUTHENTIC KHUKURI if you want to use this option. AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will then give you the total cost and other cost related all the necessary information to accomplish payment through this method. You need to send MTC number to AUTHENTIC KHUKURI after wiring is done so that AUTHENTIC KHUKURI can track the fund and collect it.
3. Bank Draft/Cheque (+ USD 10 and + 1.5% on Total Cost)
Please inform in advance to AUTHENTIC KHUKURI if you want to use this option. AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will then give you the cost and necessary related information details to accomplish payment through this method. The extra charge involved in this payment option entirely depends on the size or volume of the order for which AUTHENTIC KHUKURI will inform the customer in advance or when finalizing the order.
